Wakanui Street, Northcote

20-39 • This newly completed, architecturally designed four-bedroom, three-bathroom residence, including a dedicated study, is a true expression of modern sophistication, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living.
Positioned with direct access to All Nations Park, the home showcases a striking façade adorned with hanging gardens and is carefully designed around an inner courtyard that serves as the heart of the property. The dramatic double-height ceilings and expansive double glazing flood the open-plan living and dining spaces with northern light, further emphasized by the two-way gas fireplace that acts as a subtle divider. The living areas open effortlessly to a beautifully appointed courtyard, complete with an outdoor kitchen and a glistening salt-chlorinated pool.
In the kitchen, every detail has been crafted to balance form and function. Smeg appliances, including dual ovens and a 900mm induction cooktop, are complemented by a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher, sleek stone countertops, soft-close cabinetry, and a spacious butler’s pantry. A custom-designed study is tucked behind the sculptural staircase and provides tranquil views of the pool area.
The material palette throughout the home reflects its design philosophy, with polished concrete floors featuring in-floor heating and curved walls that mirror the unique exterior elements. The staircase leads to a serene upstairs retreat, where bedrooms with built-in robes are connected by a suspended hallway. Each bedroom enjoys private balcony access, while the master suite boasts a luxurious walk-in robe, an opulent ensuite with a freestanding tub, and vistas across All Nations Park. A ground-floor master bedroom with an ensuite and walk-in robe adds versatility to the layout.
Additional features include designer bathrooms with exclusive brushed nickel fixtures, a high-end laundry, powder rooms, zoned heating/cooling, ample storage, keypad entry, and a double garage with internal access. Perfectly situated within walking distance to the vibrant High Street and zoned for Northcote High, this home is an architectural masterpiece, balancing aesthetics and lifestyle in every detail.
The Modern, Plenty Road, Preston

15-87 • The Modern is the distinctive apartment building nestled on Plenty Road in Preston. A collection of 46 apartments plus multiple commercial units, we approached the design with the intention to design a bold building, with elemental nods to the developers Italian culture.
Pasta Poetry, Fairfield

08-03 • Pasta Poetry is a shopfront and commercial kitchen located in Fairfield, Melbourne. We featured large windows to look in to the “theatre room” where the pasta is made, an open facade and a large courtyard beside the shop to host a dine-in experience.
Sophia Apartments, Northcote

12-10 • Our hero project, Sophia Apartments in Northcote, delivers charm and character in a 5-storey envelope. The landmark site, as one enters Northcote from the northern suburbs, is all old-red brick and copper facade elements. It draws upon the heritage and history of High Street with beautiful effect. There were brick quarries interspersed throughout the suburb, and the use of bricks similar to those used in the original dentist’s clinic on the site, are testament to this. The metal cladding responds to its exposed north-west orientation and delivers differing visual effects throughout the day.
